古橋治人さんの作品。なんとも、一つひとつをくるくる、くるくると指先で回しながら、眺めてしまうスプーンです。轆轤から生み出されたなめらかで端正なフォルム。光が当たるたびに生まれる陰影が、その佇まいの美しさを教えてくれます。

家族がいつもと違うところに置いてしまい、毎朝の珈琲を淹れるときにこのスプーンが見つからなかったら、ちょっと動揺してしまう……。そんなふうに、いつの間にか日々の暮らしになくてはならない存在になってしまう”毎日の道具”です。

現代は、モノにあふれかえる時代。
けれど、丹精込めて作られ、作り手の想いが宿るものは、何ものにも代えがたいものがあります。しかも、使い込むうちに、それぞれの家で淹れられる珈琲豆の香りや油が少しずつ木に染み込み、艶を増していきます。使う人の時間とともに一つひとつが異なる表情へと育ち、より美しく、ますます手放せないものになっていく。毎朝の珈琲の時間とともに、ゆっくりと育てていきたい逸品です。

【お手入れ方法】
・木工道具は食器洗浄機、電子レンジはご使用になれません。
・台所要洗剤や柔らかいスポンジの使用は構いませんが、長い間ご愛用して頂くために、研磨用のスポンジ使用は避けてください。
・紫外線は苦手です。日光のあたる場所に長時間放置しないでください。日焼けしてしまいます。 ・日のそばに置くと変色することがあります。
・焼き物やガラスの器などと重ねないようにしてください。傷がつくことがあります。

There is something about these spoons that makes you want to turn each one over and over between your fingertips, simply admiring it. Their smooth, refined forms are shaped on the lathe, and as light falls across the surface, the shifting shadows quietly reveal the beauty of their contours.

If someone in the family happens to put the spoon somewhere other than its usual place, and you cannot find it when making your morning coffee, you might find yourself just a little unsettled... It is that kind of object—an “everyday tool” that, almost without noticing, becomes an indispensable part of daily life.

We live in a time surrounded by an abundance of things. And yet, objects made with great care, carrying something of the maker’s thought and intention, possess a value that cannot easily be replaced.

What makes these spoons even more special is how they continue to change with use. Over time, the aroma and natural oils of the coffee beans used in each home gradually permeate the wood, deepening its lustre. Each spoon develops its own character alongside the life of the person who uses it, becoming more beautiful and increasingly difficult to part with.

A piece to cherish and slowly nurture, morning after morning, together with the daily ritual of making coffee.
