我戸幹男商店は明治41年(1908年）ろくろの町山中温泉にて我戸木工所として創業しました。長い歴史を受け継いだ我戸幹男商店の木地士は、天然の素材が生み出した美しい木目を豪快にあらわに残したままひとつひとつを丁寧に挽き上げていきます。芸術の領域までに達したそのフォルムの仕上がりの美しさと実用性を兼ね備えた製品の数々は、いづれも世界にも愛される日本の代表としての風格があります。

素材、木地の精度、透明感のある拭き漆など山中漆器の高い技術力と実用美と和の意識を融合しさらなる高みを求め続けながらも、現代の庶民の生活の中で愛される漆器づくりを心がけています。

[茶箱 / 茶道具]
茶道具は、茶道の実践を支えるだけでなく、その美意識や精神性、歴史を象徴する存在。山中漆器のろくろ技術には４００年以上の歴史があります。他の追随を許さない技術力。卓越した職人によって生み出された茶道具と茶箱。モダンとと伝統を融合した限りなく削ぎ落とされ洗練された茶道具を目指して作られています。


GATOMIKIO Shoten was founded in 1908 (Meiji 41) in Yamanaka Onsen, a town renowned for its woodturning craftsmanship, originally as Gato Woodworks.

Carrying on this long tradition, the company’s master woodturners carefully shape each piece while boldly preserving the natural beauty of the wood grain created by nature.

The resulting forms, refined to an artistic level, combine both aesthetic beauty and practical functionality. Each piece carries the dignity of a true representative of Japanese craftsmanship, admired around the world.

[Tea Chest / Tea Ceremony Utensils]
Tea ceremony utensils are not only essential for the practice of tea, but also embody its aesthetics, spirituality, and history. The lathe-turning techniques of Yamanaka lacquerware have a history of over 400 years, representing a level of craftsmanship unmatched by others.

These tea utensils and tea chests are created by highly skilled artisans, aiming for a refined design that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity—stripped down to its purest form.

【お手入れ方法】
・漆の器は食器洗浄機、電子レンジはご使用になれません。
・台所要洗剤や柔らかいスポンジの使用は構いませんが、長い間ご愛用して頂くために、研磨用のスポンジ使用は避けてください。
・紫外線は苦手です。日光のあたる場所に長時間放置しないでください。日焼けしてしまいます。 ・日のそばに置くと変色することがあります。
・焼き物やガラスの器などと重ねないようにしてください。傷がつくことがあります。
・汚れが取れない時などは、しばらく水に浸しても大丈夫です。
・漆の香りが気になる時は、しばらく置いてからご使用ください。

【破損に関するご注意事項】
扱いによっては割れたり折れてしまうものです。配達後の破損につきましては、配達後1週間以内でであっても交換には一切お答えできませんので、ご了承下さい

・万が一漆が痛んでしまった時は修理も承ります。木地自体が割れてしまったり、ひびが入ってしまった場合には修理できない場合がございます。送料と修理代がかかります。詳しくは店舗までお問い合わせください。

[Care Instructions]

• Lacquerware is not suitable for use in dishwashers or microwave ovens.
• You may use mild dish detergent and a soft sponge; however, to ensure long-term use, please avoid abrasive sponges or scrubbers.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as ultraviolet rays may cause discoloration.
• Do not place near open flames or heat sources, as this may lead to color changes.
• Avoid stacking with ceramic or glassware, as this may cause scratches.
• If stains are difficult to remove, the item may be soaked in water for a short period.
• If you notice the natural scent of lacquer, please allow the item to air out before use.

[Notes on Damage]

• These items may crack or break depending on handling. Please note that we cannot accept any exchanges for damage after delivery, even within one week of receipt.

• In the event that the lacquer surface becomes damaged, repairs may be possible. However, if the wooden base is cracked or broken, repairs may not be feasible. Repair fees and shipping costs will apply. Please contact our store for further details.
